REMAL Ekonomik is a paint with optically enhanced whiteness, opacity, and high vapor permeability. REMAL Ekonomik paint is used for painting plaster, concrete, drywall, cement board, chipboard, and restoration plasters in interiors. The paint is made from natural limestones, allowing for the application of multiple layers. Due to its composition, it allows for faster drying. REMAL Ekonomik wall paint has a whiteness of 94%.
The interior paint for walls and ceilings REMAL Ekonomik is easy to work with, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. It shows resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).

Before painting with REMAL Ekonomik universal paint remove layers of old and non-adherent paints. Absorbent substrates should be treated with REMAL universal primer, non-cohesive and crumbling substrates should be treated with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the paint layer. The drying time is 4 hours. Level out irregularities on the wall with REMAL Filler. Dilute the paint in a ratio of max. 0.2 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers; apply the next layer of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting the paint is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during application of the wall paint. Use product from one batch for cohesive areas; mix different batches together before use.
When working, adhere to basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, a reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1), octhilinone (ISO). May cause allergic reactions.
covering materials, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don't forget about brushes, rollers, stirrers, and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes the accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of wall paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only determines the testing method, but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is calculated to yield the average value of the reduction in coating thickness. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for a prescribed time. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
