REMAL Color is a water-based tinted paint with a pleasant aroma in attractive shades. It is recommended for painting walls and ceilings indoors, on plasters including renovation plasters, drywall, and other substrates. It is easy to work with, health-safe, and ecological.

A wall paint that is easily washable and shows resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).

Example of the application procedure for REMAL Color wall paint:

Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and treat non-cohesive and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, strengthen the surface, equalize absorbency, and ensure paint adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Smooth out uneven walls with REMAL Filler.

The paint can be diluted according to the application method with a maximum of 10% water. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spray in 2 layers, applying the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25° C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not fall below 5° C during application. For uniform surfaces, use products from the same batch, mix different batches together before use.

Handling the wall paint:

When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, or for coating children's toys and furniture.

Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.

Washability of the paint is practically addressed by the standard WET ABRASION RESISTANCE ČSN EN ISO 11998

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and establishing the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the mean value of the paint thickness loss is calculated. To assess cleanability, contaminants are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, soiled samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant was removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.

For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading similar to school grading.
