REMAL Color is a water-dilutable pigmented paint with a pleasant scent in attractive shades. It is recommended for painting walls and ceilings indoors, on plaster including renovation plasters, drywall and other substrates. It is easy to process, health-safe and ecological.
A wall paint that is lightly washable, shows resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and treat non-adhering and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, strengthen the surface, unify absorbency and ensure adhesion of the paint. Drying time is 4 hours. Level out unevenness on the wall with REMAL Filler.
The paint can be diluted up to 10% water depending on the method of application. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with brush, roller or spraying in 2 layers, applying the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25° C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not fall below 5° C during application. For cohesive areas, use product from the same batch; mix different batches together before use.
Follow basic hygiene rules during work. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, nor for coatings of children’s toys and children’s furniture.
Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.
covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering film, or sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and for establishing washability of the paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to cleaning cycles in wet conditions in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average thickness loss of the coating is calculated. To determine cleanability, the contaminants are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. Coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant has been removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
Five classes are used for evaluation - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
