Decorative painter's paint REMAL Effect with a metallic and pearlescent look for decorating modern designs using various painting techniques such as brush or roller application, spraying, dabbing with a sponge, and using painter's stencils. By mutually combining REMAL Effect colors, for example with tinting pastes, it is possible to create subtle, elegant, and artistic looks for walls.

Thanks to endless combinations, the use of various working methods, and the creator's improvisation, every result can be considered an original and unique work of art. The optical properties (brightness, sparkle, gloss, strength, depth,…) are revealed with the proper use of decorative paints. The final appearance is also influenced by the shade of the underlying surface and particularly by the lighting. Details are highly effective when light hits them or when viewed from different directions and angles. By using the contrast of light and dark, you achieve a brighter and more vibrant surface full of freshness.

It is recommended for decorative coatings of all types of mineral plasters, wooden substrates, drywall, etc. in interiors and exteriors. It is suitable for decorative rollers, painter’s stripes, etc. In outdoor environments, it can only be used for short-term applications.

Example of the coating procedure for decorative wall gloss:

The substrate must be flat and free of cracks, dry, sufficiently matured, solid, free of dust, old coatings, and loose particles. It must be free from biological infestation (mold, algae). Too absorbent, crumbling, or
loose substrates should be pre-treated (secured) with a suitable primer, e.g., REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Biological infestation (mold) should be eliminated with REMAL Sanal for masonry V1406.

The base coating of plaster is done with painter's paint REMAL or REMAL VINYL in various shades. The paint must be properly mixed before application. Slight sedimentation is not a drawback. The paint is diluted according to the method of application in the ratio of 1 part paint to 0 – 1 part water. Other surfaces must be protected against contamination. Soiled areas must be cleaned immediately, as dried paint is difficult to remove. The optimal temperature for application is recommended between 15 and 25° C. The optimal air humidity is 50 to 70 rel. %. Increased humidity and lower temperatures can significantly affect drying speed. For consistent areas, use a product from one batch; mix different batches together before use.

Handling of painter's decorative gloss:

When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings on children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

The product is treated with a biocide. It contains a reactive mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause allergic reactions.
Storage life The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the date of manufacture, in the original unopened package. Store in a dry place at temperatures between 5 and 25 °C.

Disposal of packaging and waste: decorative gloss REMAL Effect:

Dispose of containers with product residues in a place designated by the municipality for collecting other waste. Further see section 13 of the product's safety data sheet.

You may find it useful to have covering materials, such aspaper adhesive tape orcovering foil, possiblysanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
