REMAL Color Efekt washable decorative paint, 0900 silver, 400 g

The decorative painting color REMAL Efekt creates a metallic or pearlescent effect and is intended for decorative finishing of modern interiors using various application techniques, such as brush or roller work, spraying, stippling with a sponge, or application through stencils. By combining shades of REMAL Efekt with tinting pastes, a subtle, elegant, and artistic expression of walls can be achieved.

The countless variants, application of different work methods, and personal creativity make every result a unique and unrepeatable work of art. Proper application of these decorative paints highlights their optical qualities (brightness, shimmer, gloss, intensity, depth,…). The overall impression is also influenced by the color of the substrate and especially the light falling on it. Details appear particularly striking when illuminated or viewed from different angles and directions. The play of light and shadow additionally gives the surface a fresh, brighter, and livelier character.

It is recommended for decorative coatings of all types of mineral plasters, wood, gypsum boards, and other materials both indoors and outdoors. It is suitable for working with decorative rollers, painting lines, and similar applications. In the exterior, it is intended solely for short-term use.

Technical properties of the decorative washable paint:

• approximate consumption 0.12 to 0.16 kg/m² for full coverage and depends on the chosen method and application technique.

Example of the painting procedure for decorative gloss on the wall:

The substrate surface must be smooth, without cracks, dry, sufficiently cured, solid, free of dust, original coatings, and loose particles. Furthermore, it should not show biological infestation (mold, algae). Excessively absorbent, crumbling, or
loose materials must be reinforced beforehand with a suitable primer, such as REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Remove biological contamination (mold) with REMAL Sanal for masonry V1406.

The base layer on the plaster is applied with REMAL paint or REMAL VINYL in various shades. Before application, the paint should be thoroughly mixed. Minor sedimentation is not considered a defect. The paint is diluted according to the application method in a ratio of 1 part paint to 0 – 1 part water. Protect other areas from contamination. Stained areas should be washed immediately, as dried paint is difficult to remove. The recommended optimal temperature during application is between 15 and 25° C. The optimal air humidity is between 50 and 70 rel. %. Increased humidity and lower temperatures can significantly affect drying speed. For coherent surfaces, use a product from the same batch; mix different batches together before use.

When working, you will appreciate protective materials, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, or sanding papers. Brushes, rollers, trim tools, and spatulas will also come in handy.
