REMAL Expert Brilliant White Wall Paint, 15+3 kg

REMAL Expert is velvety matte and brilliantly white paint with an extremely high whiteness of 96 %. This interior paint has excellent covering ability and is also highly breathable, suitable for renovation plasters.

The REMAL Expert paint is used for painting plasters, concrete, drywall, cement boards, particle board, and renovation plasters in interiors.

The interior wall paint REMAL Expert shows resistance to abrasion when wet and is a washable paint – measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5 (classification according to EN 13300).

REMAL Expert wall paint is designed for extremely white coatings of residential and commercial spaces - a representative brilliant white wall paint. The paint contains optical brighteners that enhance the extremely high whiteness of the paint coating.

Working procedure for REMAL Expert paint:

Before painting with REMAL Expert, remove layers of old and non-adhering paint. Absorbent substrates should be treated with REMAL universal primer, non-cohesive and crumbling substrates should be treated with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adherence of the paint coating. Drying time is 4 hours. Even out unevenness on the wall with REMAL Putty. Dilute the coating with a maximum ratio of 0.2 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.

Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers, the next layer of paint is applied after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. The surface temperature and environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of wall paint. For coherent areas, use product from one batch of paint, mix different batches before use.

Handling with REMAL Expert wall paint:

When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not suitable for coatings coming into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings on children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.

The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H) -on+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H) -on [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-on [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.

Washability of the paint in practice is addressed by the standard WET ABRASION RESISTANCE ČSN EN ISO 11998

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it specifies only the testing method itself, but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the mean value of the decrease in coat thickness is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. The specified contaminating substances are allowed to remain in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance was removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.

For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading just like in school.
