Washable wall paint REMAL Vinyl Color Mat is a premium color washable painting coating with a velvet matte appearance, excellent coverage, and abrasion resistance. The surface of the paint is gently washable. The coating is intended for painting walls and ceilings in interiors on plaster, drywall, and other substrates.
The product is easy to process, safe for health, and environmentally friendly. It exhibits washability of the paint with resistance to abrasion when wet after 28 days - class 1. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300). Application method with a brush, paint roller.
up to 12 m² /1 kg for one coat.
Old non-adhering coatings in thicker layers should be scraped off. Before painting, treat the surface with REMAL deep penetration primer. This will remove dust, strengthen, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Even out unevenness on the wall with REMAL filler. For touching up spots after leaks, it is advisable to use REMAL Flek-stop isolation coating. Before use, thoroughly stir the coating, it is diluted for painting. If necessary, dilute with a maximum of 5% clean water. Apply with a REMAL Vinyl roller with short nap. The coating covers in one layer. Repaint at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for application is 15 to 25 °C. Clean dirty spots and tools immediately after application with water, dried coating is difficult to remove.
Method of applying washable wall paint:
REMAL Vinyl roller with short nap, brush, AIRLESS spraying - for example, STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700 or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure from 120 – 150 bar, nozzle size 515 or 517, gun filter 50 mesh. When spraying, we always recommend testing on specific equipment in advance.

covering material, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, or sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining washability and resistance to wet abrasion of the paint. As for the cleanability of coatings, it specifies only the testing method itself but does not specify the pollutants. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of the thickness loss of the coating is calculated. For determining cleanability, pollutants are applied to similarly prepared samples. The specified pollutants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It will be evaluated whether the contaminant has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best - class 5 is the worst.
