ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating material for both indoor and outdoor use, prepared from a special cross-linking dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It forms relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high resistance to weathering and excellent blocking resistance, even at higher temperatures. It features very good coverage, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion to old synthetic and oil-based coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the conditions of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.
Field of use:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for indoor and outdoor coatings of wood, fiberboard, particleboard, cement-bonded boards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates treated with anti-corrosive coatings, and some types of plastics (tough PVC, rigid PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester, and epoxy laminates; it is not suitable for coatings on PE, PP, PTFE). A test coat must be carried out on plastics of unknown composition. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, central heating bodies, school boards, furniture, such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, children's playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and renovation coatings.
Application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly cleaned, and degreased substrate free from loose particles and residues of non-adherent coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at a substrate and ambient temperature between 8 °C and 30 °C and a relative humidity of max. 75%. Depending on the selected application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For application by high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar with nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on VYZA vario equipment). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three coats depending on the desired thickness, with a minimum interval of 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval
must be extended. An extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.
Consumption (final coat):
Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be thoroughly cleaned of corrosion products, mechanical impurities, residues of loose old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is coated with one to two coats of ETERNAL anti-cor corrosion acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anti-corrosion coating has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.
Wood, fiberboard, and particleboard coatings:
The substrate is thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots are removed (e.g., by washing with nitro thinner), and the surface is soaked with FORTEKRYL impregnator, which has protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-staining fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, it is also possible to use the penetration agent FORTE penetral. After the penetration has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. The fiberboards and particleboards are then coated with one layer of the insulating paint ETERNAL In stop to prevent the possible penetration of colored stains from the substrate into the topcoat. After the insulating coat has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.
Coatings of concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates must be free of non-adherent coatings, mechanical impurities, and the greasy surface must be thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is soaked with FORTE penetral, and after it has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a 3-hour interval between coats. For very absorbent substrates (plasters), ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a ratio of 1:1 can also be used for soaking. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonates.
Coating of cement-bonded particleboards:
Cement-bonded particleboards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be thoroughly cleaned of mechanical impurities, non-adherent old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. Such a prepared substrate is saturated with a special penetration agent FORTE penetral. The penetration is best done with one coat until saturation of the substrate. As soon as the dried penetration agent starts to form a glossy film on the surface, the penetration is completed. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between coats.
Coatings of plastics:
The surface of the plastics must be thoroughly cleaned, free from any residues of old non-adherent surface treatments, glues, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological break of 4 hours between coats
