ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-dilutable coating material for indoor and outdoor use prepared from a special dispersible acrylic copolymer dispersion, pigments, fillers, and additives. It creates relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high resistance to weather and excellent resistance to blocking even at higher temperatures. It features very good coverage, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion even to old synthetic and oil coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the conditions of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.
Area of application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for indoor and outdoor coatings of wood, wood fiberboards, particleboards, and cement-bonded particleboards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates coated with anti-corrosive paint, and some types of plastics (tough PVC, hard PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; not intended for coatings on PE, PP, PTFE). For plastics of unknown composition, a test coat must be applied in advance. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, central heating bodies, school boards, furniture such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and restoration coatings.
Application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly cleaned and degreased substrate free from loose particles and residues of non-adhering coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic, or high-pressure airless spraying, at a substrate and ambient temperature range of 8 °C to 30 °C and relative humidity max. 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For application by high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar with nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on VYZA vario equipment). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers depending on the required thickness, with a time interval of at least 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval must be extended. Extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.
Consumption (final coat):
Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be thoroughly cleaned of corrosion byproducts, mechanical impurities, residues of released old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is primed with one or two coats of ETERNAL anti-corrosive acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coatings. After the anti-corrosive coat has dried, apply two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.
Coatings of wood, wood fiberboards, and particleboards:
The substrate is thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots are removed (e.g. by washing with thinner), and the surface is primed with FORTEKRYL primer that offers protective effects against wood-destroying and color-changing fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, the penetrating agent FORTE penetral can also be used. After the primer has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Wood fiberboards and particleboards are then coated with one layer of the isolation paint ETERNAL In stop to prevent the potential transfer of colored stains from the substrate into the top coat. After the isolation coat has dried, the surface is sanded again with fine sandpaper. Two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are then applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.
Coatings of concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates must be stripped of non-adhering coatings, mechanical impurities, and the greasy surface must be thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is primed with FORTE penetral and after it has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with an interval of 3 hours between coats. For very absorbent substrates (plasters), ETERNAL mat Revital can also be diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio for priming. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.
Coatings of cement-bonded particleboards:
Cement-bonded particleboards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be thoroughly cleaned of mechanical impurities, non-adhering old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate is then completely saturated with the special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. The penetration is best done in one coat until saturation of the substrate. Once the dried penetrating agent starts to form a glossy film on the surface, we stop penetration. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a technological pause of 4 hours between coats.
Coatings of plastics:
The surface of the plastics must be thoroughly cleaned and freed from any residues of old non-adhering coatings, adhesives, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). Two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological pause of 4 hours between coats.
