Description Eternal mat Revital color for restoring old coatings, 206 green, 700 g

ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk matt water-dilutable coating material for indoor and outdoor use, prepared from a special cross-linkable dispersion of acrylate copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It forms relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high weather resistance and excellent blocking resistance, even at higher temperatures. It features very good opacity, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion to old synthetic and oil-based coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the requirements of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.

Area of use:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for indoor and outdoor coatings of wood, fiberboard, particleboard, and cement-bonded boards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates treated with anti-corrosion paint, and certain types of plastics (tough PVC, rigid PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; not intended for coatings on PE, PP, PTFE). For plastics of unknown composition, test coating must be performed in advance. It is suitable for coating window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, central heating bodies, school boards, furniture such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, children’s playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for new and renovation coatings.

Application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly clean, and degreased substrate free of loose particles and residues of non-adhering coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at a substrate and ambient temperature between 8 °C and 30 °C and a relative humidity max. 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For application by high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar through nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on VYZA vario equipment). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers according to the required thickness, with a time interval of at least 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval must be extended. Extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.

Consumption (final coat):

  • wood, fiberboard 0.22 – 0.35 kg/m²
  • metals 0.20 – 0.25 kg/m²
  • concrete, plaster 0.30 – 0.35 kg/m²

Coating steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be thoroughly cleaned of corrosion products, mechanical impurities, residues of loose old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dry substrate is coated with one to two layers of ETERNAL anti-corrosion acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals, with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anti-corrosion coating has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings on wood, fiberboard, and particleboard:
The substrate is thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots are removed (e.g. by washing with nitro thinner), and the surface is impregnated with FORTEKRYL impregnation with protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-staining fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, impregnation medium FORTE penetral can also be used. After the impregnation has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. The fiberboard and particleboard are then treated with one coat of ETERNAL In stop insulating paint to prevent the potential penetration of colored stains from the substrate into the topcoat. After the insulating coat has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are then applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings on concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates must be freed from non-adhering coatings, mechanical impurities, and greasy surfaces must be thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is impregnated with FORTE penetral, and after it has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with an interval of 3 hours between coats. For very absorbent substrates (plasters), ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a ratio of 1:1 can be used for impregnation. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.

Coatings on cement-bonded boards:
Cement-bonded boards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be thoroughly cleared of mechanical impurities, non-adhering old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate is thoroughly saturated with the special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. It is best to penetrate with one coat until the substrate is saturated. Once the dried penetrating agent begins to form a glossy film on the surface, we stop the penetration. After a minimum of six hours from the penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a technical break of 4 hours between coats.

Coatings on plastics:
The surface of plastics must be thoroughly cleaned, freed from any residues of old non-adhering surface treatments, adhesives, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces are recommended to be sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are then applied to the prepared substrate with a technical break of 4 hours between coats
