Eternal mat Revital color for renewing old coatings, RAL 1015 Light Ivory, 350 g

ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating material for both indoor and outdoor use prepared from a special cross-linkable dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It forms relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high weather resistance and excellent blocking resistance even at higher temperatures. It features very good coverage, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion to both old synthetic and oil-based coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the requirements of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of Toys Migration of certain elements.

Application area:
ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for indoor and outdoor coatings of wood, fiberboard, particleboard and cement-bonded particleboards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates with anti-corrosion coating, and some types of plastics (tough PVC, hard PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester, and epoxy laminates; not intended for PE, PP, PTFE coatings). A test coat must be carried out on plastics of unknown composition. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, bodies of central heating, school boards, furniture, such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, door knockers, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and restoration coatings.

Processing:
ETERNAL mat Revital should be applied to a dry, thoroughly cleaned and degreased substrate free from loose particles and residues of non-adherent coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at a substrate and ambient temperature ranging from 8 °C to 30 °C, and relative humidity of max. 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material can be diluted with water to a max. of 15% by weight. For application by high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar with nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on VYZA vario equipment). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers depending on the desired thickness, with a time interval of at least 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval needs to be extended. Extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.

Consumption (final coat):

• wood, fiberboards 0.22 – 0.35 kg/m²
• metals 0.20 – 0.25 kg/m²
• concrete, plaster 0.30 – 0.35 kg/m²

Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be carefully cleaned of corrosion products, mechanical dirt, residues of old loose coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate, or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is coated with one or two layers of ETERNAL anti-corrosion acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anti-corrosion coating has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings of wood, fiberboards, and particleboards:
The substrate must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots removed (e.g., by washing with solvent), the surface treated with FORTEKRYL wood preservative that offers protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-coloring fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, a penetrating agent FORTE penetral can also be used. After the penetration has dried, the surface should be sanded with fine sandpaper. Fiberboards and particleboards should then be coated with one layer of ETERNAL In stop insulating paint to prevent possible color stains from the substrate penetrating into the top coat. After the insulating coat dries, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings of concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates should be cleaned of non-adherent coatings, mechanical impurities, and thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is treated with FORTE penetral and after it dries, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with an interval of 3 hours between coats. For the impregnation of very absorbent substrates (plasters), ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a ratio of 1:1 can be used. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.

Coatings of cement-bonded particleboards:
Cement-bonded particleboards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be thoroughly cleaned of mechanical impurities, non-adherent old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate is saturated with a special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. It is best to penetrate with one layer until the substrate is saturated. When the dried penetrating agent starts to form a shiny film on the surface, the penetration is completed. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a technological pause of 4 hours between layers.

Coatings of plastics:
The surface of the plastics must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any residues of old non-adherent surface treatments, adhesives, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate, or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). Two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological pause of 4 hours between coats.
