ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating material for indoor and outdoor use, prepared from a special crosslinkable dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It creates relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high weather resistance and excellent blocking resistance, even at higher temperatures. It is characterized by very good opacity, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion, even to old synthetic and oil-based coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the requirements of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.

Field of application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for interior and exterior coatings of wood, fiberboard, particle board, cement-bonded board, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates with anti-corrosive coatings, and certain types of plastics (tough PVC, hard PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; it is not suitable for coatings PE, PP, PTFE). A test coat must be made on plastics of unknown composition. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, bodies of central heating, school boards, furniture such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and restoration coatings.

Processing:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly cleaned, and degreased substrate free of non-adhering particles and residues of non-stick coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at a substrate and ambient temperature of 8 °C to 30 °C and a relative humidity of max. 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For application by high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar with nozzle No. 311 or larger (verified on the VYZA vario device). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers according to the required thickness, with a minimum time interval of 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval must be extended. Extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.

Consumption (final coat):

• wood, fiberboards 0.22 – 0.35 kg/m²
• metals 0.20 – 0.25 kg/m²
• concrete, plaster 0.30 – 0.35 kg/m²

Coating for steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be carefully cleaned of corrosion products, mechanical dirt, and residues of loose old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL Degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent with subsequent rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is coated with one to two layers of ETERNAL anti-corrosive acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval between coats of 4 hours. After the anti-corrosive coating has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings for wood, fiberboards, and particle boards:
The substrate is thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots are removed (e.g., by washing with nitro solvent), and the surface is impregnated with FORTEKRYL impregnator with protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-staining fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, a penetrating agent FORTE penetral can also be used. After drying the penetration, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Fiber and particle boards are then treated with one coat of ETERNAL In stop isolation paint against the possible penetration of colored stains from the substrate into the topcoat. After the isolation coat has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. On the prepared substrate, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings for concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates are freed from non-adhering coatings, mechanical impurities, and the soiled surface is thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL Degreaser). The dry substrate is impregnated with FORTE penetral, and after it has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with an interval between coats of 3 hours. For very absorbent substrates (plasters), ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a ratio of 1:1 can also be used. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.

Coatings for cement-bonded boards:
Cement-bonded boards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be thoroughly cleaned of mechanical impurities, non-adhering old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. This prepared substrate is completely saturated with a special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. The penetration is best done with one coat until the substrate is saturated. When the dried penetrator starts to create a glossy film on the surface, the penetration is completed. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a 4-hour technological break between coats.

Coatings for plastics:
The surface of the plastics must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any residues of old non-adhering surface treatments, adhesives, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL Degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent with subsequent rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces should be sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). On such prepared substrate, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between coats
