Self-priming anti-corrosion paint with graphite
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
The paint is intended especially for single-layer outdoor protective coatings of sheet metal roofs, gutters, steel structures and other metal objects exposed to permanent weather conditions and sunlight. The roof paint contains not only a corrosion inhibitor but also a UV absorber that protects the paint binder from degradation. The protection against coating degradation is guaranteed by the graphite additive - Czech patent. Thanks to the graphite, the paint is characterized by long-term resistance to weather conditions, water repellency, and effective barrier anti-corrosion protection.
Key properties:
• long-lasting durability
• barrier protection with graphite
• excellent adhesion
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The surface for application must be clean, dry, free from grease, rust, and dust, mechanically cleaned. First and foremost, the surface must be degreased using an appropriate cleaning agent (e.g. BALTECH P6402 Technical gasoline, BALTECH P6401 Acetone, or wherever possible, warm pressurized water with detergent). To remove residues of various salts, the surface must subsequently be rinsed with clean water. Coarse and well-adhered contaminants must be removed manually or mechanically (by sanding or scraping). Any rust can also be removed either manually or mechanically (with metal brushes, sanding discs) or using rust removers. In the case of using chemical rust removers, thorough rinsing with clean water is necessary afterward. Coating on galvanized sheet metal is possible only after one year of exposure to weather conditions.
Porous substrates must first be treated with a suitable impregnant that ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate. Previously painted surfaces must be cleaned, degreased, and stripped of old non-adhering coatings.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (brush, roller), thinner BALTECH S6001 (spraying)
Theoretical coverage: 7 - 8 m²/kg for one coat
WORKING PROCEDURE:
Before use, the contents should be thoroughly mixed and diluted if necessary.
Apply 2 to 3 coats (spraying) with FEST-B 2in1 ROOF PAINT S2141. The recommended thickness of the dry paint film for one layer is 50 µm. If necessary, further sprays or coats can be applied either wet on wet (within approx. 3 hours) or after drying (after 24 hours).
The method of application affects the final appearance of the coating. The structure of the contained graphite may cause color variations (shading) during spreading, which, however, do not affect the protective properties of the coating.
You may find covering materials, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, or possibly sanding papers. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
