Self-priming anti-corrosion paint with graphite
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
The paint is specifically intended for single-layer outdoor protective coatings of metal roofing, gutters, steel structures and other metal objects exposed to permanent weathering and sunlight. The roof paint contains not only a corrosion inhibitor but also a UV absorber, which protects the paint binder from degradation. The protection against degradation of the coating is guaranteed by the addition of graphite - Czech patent. Thanks to graphite, the paint is characterized by long-term resistance to weathering, water repellency, and effective barrier anti-corrosion protection.
Key properties:
• long-lasting durability
• barrier protection with graphite
• excellent adhesion
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The substrate for application must be clean, dry, free of grease, rust, and dust, and mechanically cleaned. First of all, the surface must be degreased using a suitable cleaning agent (e.g., BALTECH P6402 Technical gasoline, BALTECH P6401 Acetone, or where possible, warm pressurized water with detergent). To remove residues of various salts, the surface must subsequently be rinsed with clean water. Coarse and well-adhered dirt must be removed manually or mechanically (sanding, scraping). Any rust can also be removed manually or mechanically (metal brushes, grinding discs) or using rust removers. If chemical rust removers are used, a subsequent rinse with clean water is necessary. Coating on galvanized sheet metal is possible only after one year of exposure to weathering.
Absorbent substrates must first be primed with a suitable primer that ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate. Previously painted surfaces must be cleaned, degreased, and freed from old non-adherent coatings.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (brush, roller), thinner BALTECH S6001 (spraying)
Theoretical coverage: 7 - 8 m²/kg for one coat
WORKING PROCEDURE:
Before use, thoroughly mix the content and dilute if necessary.
Apply 2 to 3 coats (spraying) of FEST-B 2in1 FOR ROOFS S2141 paint. The recommended thickness of the dry paint film for one layer is 50 µm. If necessary, additional spraying or coating can be applied either wet on wet (within about 3 hours) or after drying (after 24 h).
The method of application affects the final appearance of the coating. The structure of the contained graphite can cause color differences (shading) during spreading, which do not affect the protective properties of the coating.
You may find covering material, such as paper masking tape or covering film, or sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes and rollers.
