Synthetic oil wood stain

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining coatings of soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions and for interior applications. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain penetrates deeply into the wood structure, enhancing its natural grain, thereby providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for interior use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages, and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be priorly cleaned of all resin exudates, for example, by washing with nitro thinner BALTECH C6000. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final surface treatment and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must be first treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnant that ensures protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood meant for indoor use is best treated first with colorless wood stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetration with colorless impregnant ensures uniform absorption of the substrate before further application of coatings. Subsequently, it is necessary to sand the wood surface with fine sandpaper and only then apply the impregnation stain. During renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: Thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l for one layer depending on substrate absorbency

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted as it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly mix the stain. For indoor use, apply in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in color shades. Colorless stain is intended for interior applications. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly highlight the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe excess stain off with a dry brush or cloth after 10 to 15 minutes from application.

Always paint larger areas with a product from the same production batch to ensure a uniform color tone. The final appearance of the shade is influenced by the type of wood, its surface treatment, and previous coatings; therefore, we recommend testing on a smaller area before the final application. Complaints about color shades will only be accepted in case of complaints from the test area.
If you wish to achieve a high gloss finish, you can topcoat the dry layer made with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of the LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be safely disposed of, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.

When working, you will find covering tools, such as paper masking tape or cover film, useful. Brushes and rollers will also come in handy.
