Synthetic oil-based impregnating stain

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is designed for protective staining of both soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions and for interior applications. It protects wood from UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the wood structure, emphasizing its natural grain and thus providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coat. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, free of resin residues, before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be freed from all resin exudations beforehand, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish as well as the overall durability of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for exterior use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnator that ensures protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for interior use should be initially impregnated with the colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetration with a colorless impregnator will ensure uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of coatings. Subsequently, the wood surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and then the impregnating stain should be applied. During renovation painting, the wood must be stripped of the old non-adherent layer, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l for one coat depending on substrate absorbency

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Apply the product with a brush on the pre-treated substrate after thorough mixing. The stain is prepared in the application viscosity and does not need to be diluted. During work, regularly stir the lacquer. For interiors, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor use, it is advisable to apply three layers, but exclusively in colored shades. The colorless variant is intended for indoor coatings only. Maintain a time interval of 24 hours between individual coatings. For uniform enhancement of the wood's natural grain, it is recommended to wipe the unabsorbed lacquer with a dry cloth or brush 10 to 15 minutes after application.

When painting continuous surfaces, always use material from the same production batch to ensure consistent color tone. The final shade of the coating is influenced by the type of wood, the condition of its surface, and previous coats; therefore, we recommend conducting a test application before the final application. Any claims regarding color shades will only be accepted upon assessment of this test area.
To achieve a high gloss, you can topcoat the dried layer created by LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or a natural shade of stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. For floors, you can apply LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be disposed of safely, as they can self-ignite under certain conditions.

During work, protective materials such as paper tape or covering foil will be useful. Don’t forget to prepare brushes and rollers.
