Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain T024 cedar, 750 ml

Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is designed for protective staining coats for softwood and hardwood exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It deeply penetrates the wood structure and emphasizes its texture. It provides long-lasting protection for wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are color-fast, easily renewable, and do not crack. Shade T000 - natural is intended for interior use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, and free of resin residues before application. Wood with high resin content (larch, pine) must be cleaned of all resin exudates beforehand, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish as well as the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must be first treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnator, which ensures protection of the wood against fungal, mold, and insect infestation, e.g., with LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is best treated first with a colorless LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. Penetration with a colorless impregnator ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of coatings. Subsequently, it is necessary to sand the surface of the wood with fine sandpaper, and only then apply the impregnating stain. When applying renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of old, non-adhering layers, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 13-15 m²/l for one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing on a pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already at the application viscosity. During work, the glazing varnish must be stirred regularly. For indoor use, apply in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three coats, but only colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for application in interiors. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly highlight the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off any excess varnish after 10 to 15 minutes post-application using a dry brush or cloth.

For uniform areas, always use material from the same production batch. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color shade. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, so we recommend conducting a test coat before final application. Claims for color shades will only be accepted if they pertain to the test area.

For high gloss, the dried coating made with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or natural shade stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked in the stain must be safely disposed of, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.

Tinting: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
