Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain T021 walnut, 750 ml

Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is intended for protective staining coatings for hard and soft wood exposed to weather influences and for use indoors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall paneling, fences, cottages and wooden huts, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It penetrates deeply into the substrate and enhances the natural grain of the wood. It ensures long-term protection of wood against the effects of water and UV radiation. The coating retains color stability, does not crack, and can be easily renewed. Shade T000 -natural is exclusively intended for indoor use!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall paneling, fences, cottages and wooden huts, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of a maximum of 12%, and free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudates, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood’s pre-treatment depends on the overall appearance of the final wood finish and the overall longevity of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for exteriors must be first treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnation, ensuring protection against mold, fungi, and insects, such as with LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood for interiors should be first treated with a colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or a natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. The penetration with a colorless impregnator ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before applying the coating materials. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and then the impregnating stain should be applied. When renovating, it is necessary to remove old non-adhering layers, for example, by sanding.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already at application viscosity. During work, the staining varnish must be regularly mixed. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for interior applications. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly enhance the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off any excess stain after 10 to 15 minutes of application with a dry brush or cloth.

For continuous surfaces, always apply the material from the same production batch, which ensures consistent color tone. The final shade may be influenced by the type of wood, surface preparation, and previous coatings, so we recommend doing a test coat before starting work. Any claim regarding shade will only be recognized based on the assessment of this test area.

To achieve high gloss, you can topcoat the dry application of LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. For floors, you can subsequently apply LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (cloths, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be disposed of safely, as they can spontaneously ignite under certain circumstances.

Tinting: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
