Wood varnish synthetic urethanized intended for top semi-matt transparent coatings of wood.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The varnish is intended for wood coatings, e.g. parquet, wooden floors, wall cladding, staircases, doors, railings, decorative strips. The varnish creates a protective layer with an attractive appearance that protects against weather influences and damage to the coated surface. It demonstrates good sandability, high UV resistance, and repels water. The varnish has a slip resistance certification.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with an increased resin content (larch, pine) must be free of all resin exudates beforehand, e.g. by washing with the solvent BALTECH C6000. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall durability of the coating system.

The wood surface must first be impregnated with a suitable impregnator that ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate and higher wood protection (in the case of fungicidal impregnator, also protection against wood infestation by mold, fungi, and insects). Subsequently, the wood surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and only then should the synthetic wood varnish be applied. When renovating, the wood must be stripped of old non-adhering coatings and good substrate adhesion must be ensured (when completely removing the old coating, the new coating is applied gradually, including the wood soaking). It is recommended to follow the entire coating system according to the manufacturer's data sheet.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (for cleaning tools). Varnish does not need to be diluted, it is already in application viscosity.

Theoretical coverage: 10 - 12 m²/ l for one layer depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

It is applied after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. Wood varnish does not need to be diluted, it is already in application viscosity.

Interior coating:

Before painting, impregnate the wood with the product LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 colorless. After approximately 20 minutes, gently wipe with a dry brush, after drying for 24h, lightly sand the coating and then apply 2 - 3 times the varnish LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING S1020 with an interval of 16 to 24h for one layer.

Outdoor coating:

Before painting, treat the wood against fungi, mold, and wood-destroying insects with the fungicidal impregnator LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. After 20 minutes, wipe off excess impregnator with a dry brush, gently sand after drying for 24h, and then apply the varnish onto the wood LAZUROL S1020 three times with an interval of 16 - 24h for 1 layer. The number of layers and the varied structure of the wood affect the final color shade.
