LAZUROL thixotropic non-dripping lacquer for metal and wood S1091, transparent gloss, 750 ml

The lacquer is used to create a transparent coating for wood or metal, especially on vertical or sloped surfaces.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The lacquer is used to create a transparent coating for wood or metal, primarily on vertical or sloped surfaces, such as wall coverings, soffits, etc. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. In a calm state, the lacquer forms a thick, almost solid gel that is broken down during mixing or application, making the coating material easy to spread. After application or mixing, it returns to a gel state. Therefore, it does not drip from the brush or vertical surfaces. It is applied exclusively with a brush. The lacquer is available in both glossy and matte variants.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of a maximum of 12%, and free from resin residues prior to application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be thoroughly cleaned of all resin exudates, e.g., by washing with nitro thinner C 6000. The quality of the preliminary treatment of the wood affects the overall appearance of the final surface finish and the overall lifespan of the coating system. The surface of the wood must first be treated with a suitable primer that ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate and greater protection of the wood (in the case of using a fungicidal primer, also protection against mold, fungi, and insects). Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper before applying the synthetic lacquer.

The metal substrate for application must be clean, dry, free from grease, rust, and dust, and mechanically cleaned.

In renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of old non-adherent coatings and good adhesion of the substrate must be ensured (when completely removing the old coating, the new coating is applied gradually, including wood priming). It is recommended to adhere to the entire coating system according to the manufacturer's data sheet.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8-12 m²/ l for one coat

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Undiluted lacquer is applied with a brush after thorough stirring on the previously prepared substrate.
1.  1x priming with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 (interior) or fungicidal primer LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033 (exterior), application rate of 100-150 g/m2, drying time of 24 hours. After drying, lightly sand with sandpaper No. 100.
2.  1x coat of lacquer LAZUROL THIXOTROPIC LACQUER S 1091 with an optimal dry film thickness of 35 - 40µm, drying time of 24 hours. After drying, lightly sand with sandpaper No. 220.
3. 1x coat of lacquer LAZUROL THIXOTROPIC LACQUER S1091, optimal thickness of dry film 35 - 40µm, drying for 24 hours.
