Synthetic oil wood stain

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining of soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions as well as for interior applications. It protects wood against the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain penetrates deeply into the wood structure, enhancing its natural grain and thus providing highly effective coatings. It features very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for interior use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall cladding, fences, cabins and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be completely freed from all resin exudations, e.g., by washing with nitro thinner BALTECH C6000. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final surface finish and the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnant that protects the wood against attack by mold, fungi, and insects, for example, the LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is preferably first treated with the colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetration with a colorless primer will ensure uniform absorbency of the substrate before the subsequent application of coating materials. It is then necessary to sand the wood surface with fine sandpaper before applying the impregnant. When performing renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adherent layer, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l per layer depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORK PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing to the prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the staining lacquer. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only with colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for use indoors. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly emphasize the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the non-absorbed lacquer after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

Always paint coherent areas with product from the same production batch, which guarantees matching color tone. The final shade is influenced by the type of wood, surface condition, and previous coatings, so it is advisable to test the coating on a test surface beforehand. Any complaints about color can be made exclusively based on a test coating.
If you want to achieve high gloss, you can coat the dry stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with the product LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of the stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. For floor coating, you can use LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked in the stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.

When working, you will appreciate covering tools, such as cover films or paper adhesive tapes. Rollers and brushes will also come in handy.
