Synthetic oil wood stain

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining of both soft and hardwood, exposed to weather conditions as well as for indoor applications. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates into the wood structure, enhances its natural grain and provides highly effective coatings. It is very easy to renew the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, wood floor priming.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be free of all resin exudates beforehand, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final surface finish of the wood as well as the overall service life of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal primer that protects the wood against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., using LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is best treated first with the colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. The penetration of the colorless primer ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before the application of the coating materials. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper before applying the wood stain. When renovating coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer, for example, by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l for one coat depending on the substrate absorbency

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing on the previously prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly mix the staining varnish. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor applications, it is advisable to use three coats, but only with colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly enhance the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the unabsorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

When painting continuous surfaces, always work with material from the same production batch, which guarantees a uniform color tone. The final appearance of the shade depends on the type of wood, the condition of the surface, and any previous treatment, so it is advisable to test the coating on a sample before the overall application. Any complaints regarding the shade can only be accepted based on the test area.
If you want to achieve high gloss, you can topcoat the dry stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. For floors, it is possible to use LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be securely disposed of as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.
