Synthetic oil impregnating stain
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining coats on soft and hardwood, exposed to atmospheric effects, as well as for coatings in interiors. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the structure of the wood, enhances its natural pattern and thus provides highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coat. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden facades, ceilings, wall cladding, fences, cabins, and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture of 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be freed from all resin exudates in advance, e.g., by washing with nitro thinner BALTECH C6000. The quality of the wood pre-treatment depends on the overall appearance of the final surface finish of the wood and also on the overall longevity of the coating system.
The surface of the wood designated for outdoor use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnator that ensures protection of the wood against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is preferably first impregnated with the colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. The penetration with colorless impregnator will ensure uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of paints. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and then the impregnating stain can be applied. When renovating coatings, the wood must be freed from the old non-adhering layer, e.g., by sanding.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l for one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate
WORKING PROCEDURE:
It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing on a pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already in the application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the stain. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 coats, for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three coats, but only in colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. For uniform enhancement of the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the unused stain after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth. For consistent areas, always use material from one production batch. With the use of the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, therefore we recommend performing a test coat before the final application. Complaints about color shades will only be accepted in case of a complaint about the test area.
For high gloss, a dried coating made with the stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 can be coated with the lacquer LAZUROL UNIVERSAL LACQUER S1002 or a natural shade of stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. Floors can be recoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE LACQUER S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be securely disposed of, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.
You may need covering material such as paper adhesive tape or covering film. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
