Synthetic oil wood impregnation stain
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Wood stain S1023 is designed for protective staining of soft and hardwoods exposed to weather conditions and for interior applications. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the structure of the wood, enhances its natural grain, thus providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden beams, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be thoroughly cleaned of all resin exudates, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood preparation affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface treatment and the overall durability of the coating system.
The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnation that protects the wood against fungi, mold, and insects, e.g., with LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use should preferably be treated with the colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 first. The penetration with a colorless impregnation ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of coating materials. Subsequently, the wood surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and then the impregnation stain should be applied. For renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of the old non-adhering layer, for example, by sanding.
DILUTION: diluent BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l per one layer depending on the absorbency of the substrate
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the staining lacquer. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only with colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for use in interiors. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly enhance the grain of the wood, it is advisable to wipe off any unabsorbed lacquer 10 to 15 minutes after application using a dry brush or cloth.Always use material from the same production batch for cohesive areas. When using the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, so it is recommended to perform a test coating before the final application. Complaints regarding color shades will be acknowledged only with a complaint about the test area.
For high gloss, the dried coating made with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 can be coated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or a natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be safely disposed of, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.
You may need protective material such as paper masking tape or covering film. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
