Lazurol s1080 terrace oil colorless, 2.5 l

Lazurol S1080 terrace oil is designed for protective coatings of all types of wood including tropical woods, exposed to weather influences as well as for coatings in interiors.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The product is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood including tropical woods, exposed to weather influences as well as for coatings in interiors, e.g. terraces, cladding, garden furniture, wooden facades, ceilings, cabins, and wooden houses.

It protects wood long-term against the effects of moisture and UV radiation. It limits swelling and staining of the wood, allowing it to breathe. It contains natural oils. It contains deodorized gasoline. It has excellent penetrating properties, enhances the natural grain of the wood, and provides highly effective satin matte finishes. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. The product has a slip resistance certificate in both dry and wet conditions.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be free of all resin exudates in advance, e.g. by washing with nitro thinner BALTECH C6000. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface treatment and the overall lifespan of the coating system.

If protection against rot and insects is required, the surface of the wood must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnator that provides protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g. with the product LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then apply the terrace oil. In renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove old coatings from the wood, e.g. by sanding.

DILUTION: diluent BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: up to 20 m²/l depending on the absorbency of the substrate. Grooved or coarsely sawn woods require a larger amount of coating due to the nature of the surface.

WORK PROCEDURE:

It is applied after thorough mixing on the previously prepared substrate. The oil does not need to be diluted; it is ready to use. During work, the terrace oil must be mixed regularly. It is advisable to apply two to three thin layers of terrace oil so that excess oil does not remain on the surface. The surface can be sanded with fine sandpaper between individual coats. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours.
For shade 0023 teak, always use material from the same production batch for cohesive areas. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color tone.

Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked in oil must be safely disposed of, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.
