Lazurol s1080 terrace oil colorless, 2.5 l

Lazurol S1080 terrace oil is designed for protective coatings of all types of wood, including tropical woods, exposed to weather conditions as well as for coatings in interiors.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The product is intended for protective coatings of all types of wood including tropical woods, exposed to weather conditions as well as for coatings in interiors, e.g. terraces, cladding, garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, cottages, and wooden houses.

It protects the wood long-term against the effects of moisture and UV radiation. It limits swelling and staining of the wood while allowing it to breathe. It contains natural oils. It contains deodorized gasoline. It has excellent penetration properties, enhances the natural grain of the wood, and provides a highly effective silk-matt finish. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. The product has slip resistance certification in both dry and wet conditions.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free from resin residues prior to application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudates, e.g. by washing with BALTECH C6000 nitro thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface treatment and the overall longevity of the coating system.

If protection against rot and insects is required, the wood surface must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnant that provides protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g. using LAZUROL IMPREGNATING PRIMER S1033. Subsequently, the wood surface should be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then should the terrace oil be applied. In renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of old coatings, e.g. by sanding.

DILUTION: diluent BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: up to 20 m²/l depending on the absorbency of the substrate. Grooved or rough-sawn wood requires more coating due to the nature of the surface.

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The oil does not need to be diluted; it is ready to use. During the work, it is necessary to stir the terrace oil regularly. It is advisable to apply two to three thin layers of terrace oil, ensuring that no excess oil remains on the surface. The surface can be sanded with fine sandpaper between individual coatings. Individual layers can be applied at intervals of 24 hours.
For shade 0023 teak, always use material from the same production batch for cohesive areas. When using the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed.

Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked in oil must be safely disposed of, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.
