Washable wall paint REMAL Vinyl Matte is a premium white washable paint with a velvety matte appearance, excellent coverage, workability, and abrasion resistance. The surface of the washable wall paint is fully washable. The coating is designed for painting walls and ceilings indoors on plaster, drywall, and other substrates. The washable wall paint is non-toxic and suitable for children's rooms.
REMAL washable wall paint is easy to work with, health-safe, and environmentally friendly. It shows washability and wet abrasion resistance after 28 days - class 1. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classification according to EN 13300).
up to 12 m² /1 kg for one coat.
Old non-adhering coatings in thicker layers should be scraped off. Before painting, treat the surface with REMAL deep penetration primer. This will remove dust, strengthen, equalize absorbency, and ensure adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Unevenness on the wall should be leveled with REMAL filler. For touch-ups after water intrusion, it is advisable to use REMAL Flek-stop isolation primer. Before use, thoroughly mix the paint, it is diluted for painting. If necessary, dilute with a maximum of 5% clean water. Apply with short-haired REMAL Vinyl roller. The coating covers in one layer. Touch up at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for application is 15 to 25 °C. Clean contaminated areas and working tools immediately after application with water; dried paint is difficult to remove.
Method of applying washable wall paint:
REMAL Vinyl roller with short hair, brush, AIRLESS spraying - e.g. STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700 or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure from 120 – 150 bar, nozzle size 515 or 517, filter for the gun 50 mesh. When spraying, we always recommend testing on the specific device beforehand.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and children's furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you do not feel well, seek medical attention. The product is treated with a biocide. It contains a reactive mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause allergic reactions.
covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or protective film, or sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of paint. In terms of cleanability of coatings, it only defines the testing method itself but does not specify pollutants. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is used to calculate the average loss of coating thickness. For determining cleanability, contaminants are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is assessed whether the contaminant has been removed and if the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst.
