Description Eternal mat Revital color for restoring old coatings, 201 white, 350 g

ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating material for indoor and outdoor use made from a special film-forming dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It forms relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high weather resistance and excellent blocking resistance even at higher temperatures. It is characterized by very good coverage, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion to old synthetic and oil-based coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital complies with the conditions of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.

Application area:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for interior and exterior coatings of wood, fiberboard, particleboard, cement-bonded boards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates coated with anti-corrosive paint, and certain types of plastics (tough PVC, rigid PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; it is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE coatings). For plastics of unknown composition, a test coating must be applied beforehand. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, radiator bodies, school boards, furniture such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and restoration coatings.

Application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly clean, and degreased substrate free of non-adhering particles and residues of non-stick coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at a substrate and ambient temperature between 8 °C and 30 °C and relative humidity max. 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar using nozzle No. 311 or larger (verified on VYZA vario equipment). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three coats depending on the desired thickness, with a time interval of at least 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval
must be extended. An extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.

Consumption (final coat):

  • wood, fiberboard 0.22 – 0.35 kg/m²
  • metals 0.20 – 0.25 kg/m²
  • concrete, plaster 0.30 – 0.35 kg/m²

Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be carefully cleaned of corrosion products, mechanical impurities, residues of loose old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is treated with one to two coats of ETERNAL Anti-Corrosion acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anti-corrosive coating has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coating of wood, fiberboard, and particleboard:
The substrate must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots must be removed (e.g., by washing with nitro thinner), and the surface must be impregnated with FORTEKRYL impregnation agent with protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-staining fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, you can also use the penetrating agent FORTE penetral. After the penetration has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Fiberboard and particleboard must then be treated with one coat of ETERNAL In Stop insulating paint to prevent the possible penetration of color stains from the substrate into the topcoat. After the insulating coat has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital color are applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coating of concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates must be free of non-adhering coatings, mechanical impurities, and the greasy surface must be thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is penetrated with FORTE penetral and after it has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with an interval of 3 hours between coats. For soaking very absorbent substrates (plasters), ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a ratio of 1:1 can also be used. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.

Coating of cement-bonded boards:
Cement-bonded boards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be perfectly freed from mechanical impurities, non-adherent old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate must be thoroughly saturated with the special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. It is best to penetrate with one coat until the substrate is saturated. When the dried penetrating agent begins to create a glossy film on the surface, we stop the penetration. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between coats.

Coating of plastics:
The surface of the plastics must be completely cleaned, free of any residues of old non-adhering surface treatments, glues, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces should preferably be sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological break of 4 hours between coats
