Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain T023 teak, 2.5 l

Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is intended for protective staining coatings for soft and hardwood, exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It deeply penetrates the wood structure and emphasizes its grain. It provides long-lasting protection for wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are color-fast, easily renewable, and do not crack. Shade T000 -natural is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be free of all resin exudations beforehand, e.g., washed with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the pre-treatment of the wood affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must be treated with a suitable fungicidal primer that ensures protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., with LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use should first be treated with a clear stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or the natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. The penetration of the clear primer will ensure even absorption of the substrate before further application of the coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood should be sanded with fine sandpaper, and only then should the penetrating stain be applied. When renovating coatings, the wood must be free of old, non-adherent layers, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 13-15 m²/l for one coat depending on substrate absorption

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Applied with a brush after thorough stirring on the prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already at application viscosity. During work, the glazing lacquer should be regularly stirred. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three coats, but only in colored shades. The clear stain is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. For uniform highlighting of the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the non-absorbed lacquer after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

Always use material from the same production batch for cohesive areas. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color shade. The type, surface, and previous coat of the wood affect the final color shade; therefore, we recommend conducting a test coat before the final application. Complaints about color shades will only be accepted upon complaint of the test area.

For a high gloss finish, the dry coat made with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be covered with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of the stain LAZUROL GOLD S1037. Floors can be coated with LAZUROL EXTERIOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, wood shavings, papers, dust, etc.) soaked in stain must be disposed of safely, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.

Toning: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
