Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is intended for protective staining coatings for soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It penetrates deeply into the wood structure and emphasizes its texture. Provides long-term protection for wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are colorfast, easily renewable, and do not crack. Shade T000 -natural is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be freed from all resin outflows beforehand, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface treatment and the overall durability of the coating system.

The surface of wood intended for outdoor use must first be impregnated with an appropriate fungicidal impregnating agent that protects the wood against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., with LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of wood intended for indoor use is preferably pre-impregnated with colorless LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. Penetration with colorless impregnation ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before the further application of coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and only then should the impregnating stain be applied. For renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer of paint, e.g., by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 13-15 m²/l for one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the previously prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already at the application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the staining varnish. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three coats, but only with colored shades. Colorless stain is intended for interior applications. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. For uniform highlighting of the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the unabsorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

For larger areas, always use material from one production batch. When using the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final color of the coating; therefore, we recommend conducting a test coating before the final application. Complaints about color shades will only be recognized if there is a complaint about the test area.

For a high gloss finish, the dried coating applied with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be coated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be coated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.

Toning: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
