Wood lacquer synthetic urethanized designed for top semi-matt transparent coatings of wood.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The lacquer is intended for wood coatings, e.g., parquet, wooden floors, wall cladding, staircases, doors, railings, decorative strips. The lacquer creates a protective layer with an attractive appearance that protects against weather conditions and damage to the painted surface. It exhibits good sandability, high UV resistance, and repels water. The lacquer has an anti-slip certification.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be free of all resin exudates, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and the overall durability of the coating system.

The surface of the wood should first be impregnated with an appropriate primer that ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate and better protection of the wood (in the case of using a fungicidal primer, also protection against mold, fungi, and insects). Subsequently, the surface of the wood should be sanded with fine sandpaper before applying the synthetic wood lacquer. For renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove old non-adhering coatings and ensure good adhesion of the substrate (when completely removing the old coat, the new coating is done gradually, including the impregnation of the wood). It is recommended to adhere to the entire coating system according to the manufacturer's data sheet.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (for cleaning tools). The lacquer does not need to be diluted; it is already at application viscosity.

Theoretical coverage: 10 - 12 m²/ l for one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

It is applied after thorough mixing onto the pre-prepared substrate. Wood lacquer does not need to be diluted; it is already at application viscosity.

Interior coating:

Before coating, impregnate the wood with the product LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 transparent. After about 20 minutes, gently wipe with a dry brush, after drying for 24h, lightly sand the coating and then apply the lacquer LAZUROL LAK EXTERIOR WALKABLE S1020 2-3 times, with an interval of 16 to 24h for one coat.

Exterior coating:

Before coating, treat the wood against mold, fungi, and wood-destroying insects with the fungicidal primer LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. After 20 minutes, wipe off excess primer with a dry brush, after drying for 24h, lightly sand, and then apply lacquer over the wood LAZUROL S1020 three times with an interval of 16-24h for one coat. The number of layers and the varied structure of the wood influences the resulting color shade.

For new floors, it is recommended to apply at least 3 top coats. A greater thickness of the resulting layer improves the overall quality and durability of the coating. The optimal thickness of one coat is 25 to 30 mm. For the first 14 days, it is necessary to protect the coating from rough handling and intensive washing of the surface with water. The type, surface, and possibly the previous coat of the wood influence the resulting shade of the coating. Natural wood changes color due to light independently of the lacquer. For exotic types of wood, it is advisable to test the lacquer first on a small area due to the lacquer's effect on the resulting shade of the wood.

You may find it useful to have covering material, such as paper masking tape or covering film, and possibly sanding papers. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
