Pattex FIX Super is a mounting adhesive for bonding porous materials for indoor use. It bonds lightweight and absorbent materials, such as decorative panels, polystyrene elements, wooden boards, and door frames, etc.
Areas of application:
Wood, metal, concrete, plaster, drywall, plywood, MDF, polystyrene, PVC-U, plastics, bricks, stone.
Trick with a toothpick:
To prevent excessive spreading of the adhesive on the surface when pressing the bonded item, try inserting toothpicks into the adhesive strip at several points. When the item is pressed down, the toothpicks will maintain the proper distance from the surface and prevent the adhesive from being pushed out from the side of the joint.
Storage:
Store in the original sealed container in a dry and cool place. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.
Surface preparation:
The surface must be clean and free of dust, grease, and oil. The surface should not be continuously exposed to moisture. One of the bonded surfaces must be absorbent, as water must evaporate from the joint to achieve a strong bond. In the case of very absorbent surfaces, such as plaster, MDF, chipboard (not OSB) or clay bricks, it is possible that the adhesive will dry too quickly around the edge of the application and the inner part of the joint will not form a sufficient bond. To ensure the desired connection of quickly absorbing surfaces, moisten the surface with water from a spray bottle or a damp cloth before bonding. For non-absorbent or moisture-sensitive surfaces, use Pattex FIX Total (PL700) or Pattex FIX Extreme Total.
