Pattex Repair Extreme is a versatile single-component flexible adhesive based on FLEXTEC polymer that is solvent-free. It is intended for bonding and repairing absorbent and non-absorbent materials of all kinds, such as: wood, metal, glass, ceramics, rubber, leather, mirrors, stone, plastics, etc. It is not recommended for bonding PP, PE, PTFE (Teflon), and glasses exposed to UV radiation and prolonged moisture.
Surface preparation:
The surfaces to be bonded must be dry, clean, and free of grease. If possible, roughen the surfaces to be bonded before adhesive application. A prerequisite for the adhesive to cure is the absorption of a small amount of moisture (from the air or from one of the bonded materials).
Processing:
Do not overlook:
Process the material at a temperature from +5 °C to +40 °C. Immediately remove excess adhesive with a dry cloth, or if necessary, with a cloth soaked in solvent. Cured adhesive is insoluble in solvent and can only be removed mechanically. Adhesive remnants on fabrics cannot be completely removed. Tools and any dirt on other objects can be cleaned immediately after use with alcohol or acetone. After curing, dispose of any unused content in a waste disposal site designated by the municipality. Small amounts can be added to household waste. Dispose of empty containers for recycling. Dispose of large quantities separately. The adhesive reacts very quickly after contact with moisture in the air. Keep the tip of the tube and the cap clean. After use, tightly close the tube cover to prevent the adhesive from hardening. More information can be found in the product safety data sheet.
First aid:
In case of contact with skin, wash with water and soap, and treat with a restorative cream. In case of eye contact, rinse under running water for about 15 minutes and seek medical attention. If swallowed, rinse the mouth, drink 1-2 glasses of water, and consult a doctor. If inhaled, move the affected person away from the contaminated environment and seek medical advice.
