Ponal Standard is a versatile dispersion adhesive based on polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), designed for precise and strong bonding of wood indoors. Its properties make it ideal for a wide range of carpentry applications, from assembly joints to surface gluing.

Key properties

• High bond strength: Ensures a reliable and permanent connection of wooden elements.
• Transparent when dry: Bonds remain aesthetically unobtrusive, without discoloration of the wood, including tannin-containing woods.
• Moisture resistance: Meets the EN 204/D2 standard, meaning resistance to short-term water exposure.
• Wide range of applications: Suitable for assembly gluing (dowel, groove and tongue, tenon and mortise), gluing joints (solid wood, edge banding) and surface gluing (laminated boards from molded materials, pressed wood fiber boards, etc.).

Surface preparation: Bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and fit precisely. For special woods, such as teak, we recommend degreasing the surface with acetone.

Glue application: Apply unilaterally using a brush, plastic spatula, or roller. For hardwoods, it is recommended to apply on both sides.

Pressing: After applying the glue, join the parts and secure by pressing for the recommended time.

Tool cleaning: Clean tools immediately after use with cold water
