PONAL Standard, 550g

Ponal Standard is a universal dispersion adhesive based on polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), designed for precise and strong bonding of wood indoors. Its properties make it ideal for a wide range of carpentry applications, from assembly joints to surface bonding.

Key properties

• High joint strength: Ensures reliable and lasting connection of wooden elements.
• Transparent when dry: Joints remain aesthetically inconspicuous, without discoloration of the wood, including wood containing tannins.
• Moisture resistance: Meets the EN 204/D2 standard, which means resistance to short-term water exposure.
• Wide range of applications: Suitable for assembly bonding (dowel, groove and tongue, tenon and mortise), edge bonding (solid wood, veneer) and surface bonding (laminated boards made from pressed materials, MDF boards, etc.).

Surface preparation: Bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and fit accurately. For special woods like teak, we recommend degreasing the surface with acetone.

Adhesive application: Apply unilaterally using a brush, plastic spatula, or roller. For hardwood, it is advisable to apply on both sides.

Pressing: After applying the adhesive, join the parts and secure by pressing for the recommended time.

Tool cleaning: Immediately after use, clean tools with cold water
