Description Het Acrylic Filler for Drywall, Masonry, and Plaster, 800 g

Het acrylic filler for leveling walls (plasters, masonry, panels, drywall, etc.) in interiors. Interior finishing leveling filler for hand application on construction materials, particularly mineral walls. It is used for leveling small imperfections on walls (plasters, masonry, panels, drywall, etc.) or for minor repairs. The filler is ready for immediate use, has a thixotropic character, is vapor-permeable, very easy to sand, and can achieve very smooth surfaces. The product meets requirements for surfaces that may come into indirect contact with food. It is not recommended for joints and in areas with high mechanical or thermal stress. It is not suitable as a substrate for mineral or polymer plaster. The filled areas must not be in contact with water and rising humidity.

Properties of Het Acrylic Filler for Drywall, Masonry, and Plaster:

  • Ready for immediate use,
  • thixotropic character,
  • very good sandability,
  • vapor-permeable.

Shade:
non-standard white.

Coverage:
Approximately 0.3 to 1 m²/1 kg of filler in one layer. Coverage may vary depending on the thickness of the applied layer, substrate structure, application technique, and other factors. Exact coverage for a specific substrate should be determined on a test area. Consumption: 1 - 3 kg/m² in one layer (depending on the type of substrate).

Drying time:
min. 4 - 24 hours at 20 °C and 60% relative humidity.

Storage:
24 months from the production date in the original unopened packaging, at a temperature of +3 to +30 °C, must not freeze, protect from direct sunlight.

Substrate:
dry, mature (pH ≤8.5; control can be performed with a pH tester), cohesive, non-salted, solid, degreased, free from dust, dirt, and non-cohesive layers, without dynamic cracks and seams, free from biological infestation (mold, algae). Layers of old coatings with insufficient adhesion must be removed, e.g., by scraping. For plasters, remove loose grains of sand (by sanding and/or sweeping). To improve the adhesion of the filler to the substrate it is
recommended to apply a primer. Metal elements that penetrate the treated surface must be coated with a corrosion-resistant paint before filling.

Application temperature:
the temperature of the material, environment, and substrate must be between +5 and +30 °C (better +8 to +25 °C) during application and for 24 hours (preferably 48 hours) after application.

Example of application procedure:

  1. cover windows, radiators, door frames, etc.
  2. before applying the filler, it is necessary to remove any dried material from the filler packaging.
  3. layers of old coatings with insufficient adhesion must be removed, e.g., by scraping.
  4. apply a primer. For low-absorption and/or extremely smooth substrates (drywall, gypsum skim coats, cement-polymer skim coats, etc.) a penetrative coat should be applied with the primer UP-GRUND, while for more absorbent substrates (lime or lime-cement plaster, masonry, etc.) use A-GRUND, 100-GRUND or AT-GRUND according to the instructions for use.
  5. after the primer has fully dried, apply the ACRYLIC FILLER with a stainless steel trowel (for small areas use a steel spatula). The recommended thickness of one layer is 1 mm, the maximum permitted thickness of one layer is 2 mm.
  6. leave the filler to dry until completely dry (about 4 to 24 hours or longer, drying time is strongly dependent on layer thickness, substrate absorbency, temperature, and humidity).
  7. it is advisable to sand the filled areas after drying with sanding mesh or fine sandpaper on a firm backing.
  8. if necessary, additional layers of filler can be applied, and after drying, sand again. The total thickness of layers should not exceed 4 mm to avoid the risk of cracking.
  9. after sanding, dust from the sanded surfaces must be removed.
  10. working tools and soiled surfaces should be cleaned immediately with water.
  11. before painting, it is recommended to re-prime the filled areas with primers UP-GRUND, AGRUND, AT-GRUND, or 100-GRUND.
  12. then disperse paints can be applied to the surfaces, for example products from the KLASIK, HETLINE, or BRILLANT range. It is not advisable to use lime paints or paints without sufficient content of dispersive binder on the filled areas.
