Formitox chalk for exterminating ants is a fast, effective contact insecticidal preparation in the form of white chalk designed for exterminating ants of the species Monomorium pharaonis (Pharaoh ant) in indoor residential and non-residential premises. The action time is about 30 minutes after application.

Insecticidal preparation Formitox chalk contains three active substances, namely piperonyl, which has no pesticidal effects on its own. However, when added to insecticidal mixtures, typically pyrethrin, pyrethroid, or carbamate insecticides, their effectiveness significantly increases, thus allowing higher unmetabolized systemic concentrations of the active insecticide in the target organism for a longer time. The second active substance is tetramethrin, a strong synthetic insecticide belonging to the pyrethroid group. The third active substance is permethrin, a synthetic organic compound widely used as an insecticide, acaricide, and repellent. It also belongs to the pyrethroid group. It acts as a neurotoxin, interfering with the function of neurons by prolonging the activation of sodium channels. It works by contact and ingestion on ticks and mosquitoes, while simultaneously showing a strong repellent effect - also on beneficial insects.

Usage and dosage:
FORMITOX chalk is supplied packed in a plastic bag, from which it must first be removed. Then, mark the place where unwanted ants are present with a line as if writing with "regular" chalk on a board. The ants will then die within about 30 minutes after contact with the chalk. This way, you can easily create an enclosed space where the ants can move from their nest. After use, FORMITOX chalk can be easily wiped away with a cloth or sponge. Breaking the chalk does not reduce its usability and effectiveness.
