The magnetic blackboard paint is a great combination of the two most desired effects, magnetic and blackboard paint, which allows significantly reducing the time for decorating rooms in the house, office, or restaurant. The surface painted with this paint is the same as that of a magnetic school board – you can write on it, draw on it with chalk, and also attach paper images using magnets. After complete drying, the surface can be washed with a cloth or sponge. The paint is characterized by excellent hardness, adhesion to the substrate, and water resistance.
The paint can be used indoors and outdoors – for short-term exposure, e.g., on exhibition stands. It is designed for cement or lime-cement plasters, gypsum substrates, cement-bonded boards, wood, wood-based materials, and metals with a prior application of a primer on these surfaces.
Surface preparation:
Use only on a smooth surface. The surface intended for painting must be stable, firm, and dry; fill in any irregularities with filler. Remove old, non-adhering paint coatings. Before painting, sand and clean the substrate thoroughly, then degrease and dry it. Reinforce concrete, cement or lime-cement plaster, walls, gypsum substrates, and cement-bonded boards with Primacol Primer. Treat wood and metal with the appropriate primer first.
Application method:
Thoroughly mix the paint before use. Do not dilute or mix with other paints.
Before you start painting, always perform a test to familiarize yourself with the painting technique. Mark the outer edges of the area to be painted with painter's tape. Apply the paint with a roller or brush (do not spray). Allow to dry for 2 hours and then apply the next layer. It is recommended to apply at least 2 layers of Magnetic Blackboard Paint. The final effect depends on several factors, including the thickness of the layer, application technique, and used tools. For an exceptionally smooth surface, you may gently sand the paint surface with fine sandpaper (both between applying layers and for the final layer). Too heavy magnets or a too thin layer of paint may result in insufficient adhesion strength. It is recommended to use neodymium magnets.
After painting, wait 3-4 days before using the blackboard properties of the paint, i.e., during this time do not write on the board with chalk and do not wipe it with a wet sponge. The paint will acquire its full durable properties 28 days after application. Warning! Some chalks available on the market may leave marks on the board that cannot be perfectly washed off.
Storage:
Store at a temperature of 5–30 °C in an airtight original container in a dry place. Do not expose to direct sunlight, protect against frost.
Keep out of reach of children. If ingested, contact a physician immediately and show them the container or label. In case of contact with eyes: do not rub the eyes and rinse them with plenty of water. Product treated with a biocide. May cause an allergic reaction.
