UNIBAL Impregnating Oil O1000, 750 ml

Impregnating oil made from linseed oil with excellent penetration properties, designed primarily for the initial impregnation of wooden surfaces.

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE OF THE PRODUCT:
It is mainly used for the basic impregnation of wood, plaster, and other absorbent substrates, under further coatings with oil-based, synthetic, or dispersion paints. It ensures perfect adhesion of topcoats, thus protecting the substrate from adverse weather effects.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wooden substrate must be clean, dry, carefully sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free of resin traces prior to application. For wood with a higher resin content (pine, larch), all gum exudations must be removed beforehand, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of substrate preparation affects the final appearance of the wood surface treatment and the overall durability of the coating system. Mineral substrates must cure for a minimum of 28 days before application, must be dry, free of dust, without contamination from grease or petroleum products, and isolated from ground moisture.

Theoretical coverage: approx. 7 m²/ l for one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Before use, mix the contents thoroughly and dilute if necessary. It is applied using a brush, roller, or by immersion on the prepared substrate.
Colored wood coating:
  - 1× coat with UNIBAL IMPREGNATING OIL O1000. After about 20 minutes, excess oil must be wiped off so that a glossy coat does not remain on the surface
  - after 48 hours of drying, sand the surface with sandpaper
  - 1 to 2× coat with the primer UNIBAL OIL-BASED PAINT O2025
  - 1 to 2× coat with the top enamel INDUSTROL UNIVERSAL S2013 or LAZUROL WINDOW ENAMEL U2015
