Description Bilak A 0000 high gloss dispersion varnish for wood, transparent, 0.7 kg

BILAK A is a modern water-based transparent varnish with a wide range of user applications. It is used for both glazing coatings and for creating continuous protective layers... both clear and tinted to the chosen shade. It is commonly applied to wooden, particleboard, and fiberboard panels, claddings, solid wood items, and structures, or cork floors,... all in both outdoor and indoor environments. The universal properties of the varnish allow it to be used for purposes such as strengthening and dust-free treatment of concrete floors.

Primarily for professional applications, the varnish is also produced in the modified version 'thick-layer glaze', which minimizes the number of layers needed to create a sufficient thickness of the protective film, providing protection against substrate destruction due to UV radiation. Additionally, other properties such as vapor permeability and adhesion are optimized, so that the varnish is also advantageously used for the final treatment of standard wooden furniture including garden furniture. BILAK A is not suitable for environments with permanent condensation of water vapor or for creating protective coatings underwater. Special applications should be consulted with the manufacturer.

Coverage:
6 -8 m² /kg in one layer depending on the profile and porosity of the substrate. Glazing coatings 10 - 18 m²/kg of varnish.

Dilution:
The varnish is optimally diluted for regular applications as supplied. It can be reasonably diluted with water to optimal processability according to user requirements.

Application:
BILAK A is applied with a brush, roller, or spray. Absorbent substrates including wood should first be treated biocidally and well saturated with a suitable primer ... e.g. BILEP F. (Suitable fungicidal preparations ... PREGNOLIT D - restoration, BOCHEMIT QB, PREGNOLIT UNI, LIGNOFIX Eco, ... ) Impregnation with a varnish diluted in a ratio of 1:2 with water (varnish : water) is possible but less suitable. The surface of coniferous wood with a high resin content (especially pine) should first be freed from these resins, preferably using a mixture of available thinners (non-polar x polar) ... e.g.: technical xylene (S6005) + ethyl alcohol (denatured spirit) in a ratio of about 1:1. To create glazing coatings on wood, the varnish is diluted with water in a ratio of about 1:1. When applying, ensure that the hardened film is not visually noticeable on the surface of the wood. Wipe off excess varnish with a cloth. Glazing coatings for outdoor environments are better designed in a richer shade (protection of the wooden substrate against UV radiation). Continuous protective films are created by applying undiluted varnish in at least two layers. Especially for clear coatings in outdoor environments, it is necessary to achieve a minimum thickness of the hardened film of 120 μm, which can be achieved with approximately three layers of undiluted varnish (with a consumption of about 0.5 kg/m²).

In the case of using the modified varnish 'thick-layer glaze', this thickness can be achieved in just two operations. For strengthening silicate substrates, it is essential to first use a special deeply penetrating preparation BILEP F (diluted with approximately 50% water) multiple times until it soaks in, after which the prepared substrate can be treated with two layers of undiluted varnish in the chosen shade. The varnish is applied to a clean, dry substrate free from dirt. The temperature of the substrate and the surrounding environment must not drop below +8°C. Maintain a technological pause between layers - the optimal time under normal conditions is around 8 hours. Before use, mix the varnish well, and stir the semi-matt and matt variants during work. Consult more complicated situations with the manufacturer.

Composition:
A mixture of inorganic and special organic pigments in a polyacrylate dispersion in a balanced composition with special additives including UV stabilizers. According to Law No. 86/2002 Coll., in valid wording, Decree of the Ministry of the Environment No. 355/2002 Coll., in valid wording, §13, paragraph 1) the varnish is not considered a preparation containing organic volatile substances (VOC).
