DEVOSKYT ROLLER smoothing compound is used for final surface finishes of walls and ceilings in interiors. It is suitable for creating new plaster surfaces as well as for renovations and repairs of original plasters. It is suitable for local and full-surface application on all absorbent substrates (plasters, concrete, drywall, aerated concrete, precise masonry and bricks, cement particle boards, construction adhesives, and other absorbent substrates).

The compound in paste form is ready for direct use, characterized by high vapor permeability, easy sanding, simple processing, and excellent spreadability. It allows achieving a very smooth surface. It is intended for manual application with a smoothing roller or stainless steel trowel as well as for machine spraying using AIRLESS equipment and systems with air support.

Suitable substrates:

Suitable for all absorbent and porous substrates. Plasters (base, lime, lime-cement, gypsum, and others), concrete surfaces, drywall, aerated concrete, precise masonry, cement particle boards, construction adhesives, etc.

Substrate requirements:

The substrate must be dry, solid, clean, mature, free from grease and salts, and without signs of biological infestation (algae, mold). To strengthen the substrate, increase adhesion, and unify absorbency, it is recommended to apply Deep Penetration or another suitable priming coat.

The smoothing compound is supplied in an optimal consistency intended for direct application. Drying time depends on the specific material, layer thickness, temperature, relative humidity, and absorbency of the substrate. The recommended working environment and substrate temperature ranges from +5 to +30 °C. The product is not intended for wet substrates.

Application methods:

Manual application with a smoothing roller or stainless steel trowel:

The smoothing compound is applied in at least 2 layers for perfect leveling of the substrate. If necessary, multiple layers can be applied. The next layer is applied only after the previous one has completely dried. Before application, the compound should be mixed (e.g., manually with a stainless steel spatula or another suitable tool). Proper preparation of the substrate is essential before application, i.e., see Substrate Requirements + local repair of unevenness, possible repair of cracks and other defects. The smoothing compound is applied to the substrate with a special roller in the required thickness and the material is evenly spread over the desired area. The applied material is leveled with a stainless steel trowel and then allowed to dry completely. The second layer is applied in the same manner. For perfect smoothing of all unevennesses created during application, the surface can be sanded (manually or mechanically) with fine sandpaper (60-220) after it has fully dried. When applying final surface finishes, follow the instructions for the specific material used.

AIRLESS application machines with a working pressure of approx. 50-230 bars, e.g.: Graco Mark V, VII, X; Graco T-MAX 506, 657, Storch Airless ST 1700, 1700+ and other machines recommended by the manufacturer for applying smoothing compounds. We recommend a minimum nozzle size of 0.033”. Before applying with AIRLESS machines, the smoothing compound must be mixed.
