DEVOSKYT ROLLER compound is intended for surface treatments of walls and ceilings indoors. It is suitable for creating new plaster surfaces, for repairs and renovations of old plasters. For local and large-area application on all absorbent substrates (plasters, concrete, drywall, aerated concrete, precise masonry, bricks, cement-bonded particle boards, construction adhesives, and other absorbent substrates.
The product is ready for immediate use, paste-like consistency, highly vapor-permeable, easy to sand, easily workable, and excellently spreadable. It allows for achieving very smooth surfaces. For manual application with a roller for putties or stainless steel trowel, for machine application with AIRLESS machines and machines with air support.
Suitable substrates:
On all absorbent and porous substrates. Plasters (base coats, lime, lime-cement, gypsum, etc.), concretes, drywalls, aerated concretes, precise masonry, cement-bonded particle boards, construction adhesives, and others.
Technical data:
Substrate requirements:
The substrate must be clean, firm, dry, mature, free of grease and salts, and free from biological contamination (molds, algae). To enhance adhesion, strengthen the substrate, and unify the absorbency of the surface, it is recommended to use a Deep Penetration or other suitable primer.
The plaster compound is produced in an optimal consistency for direct application. The drying time varies depending on the type of material, thickness of the layer, temperature, relative humidity, and absorbency of the substrate. The recommended temperature for the substrate and working space is +5 to +30 °C. The product is not suitable for wet substrates.
Application methods:
Manual application with a roller for putties or stainless steel trowel:
The plaster compound is applied in at least 2 layers for perfect leveling of the substrate. If necessary, more layers can be applied. The next layer is added only after the previous layer has completely dried. Before application, the plaster is mixed (e.g. manually with a stainless spatula or another suitable tool). Before applying, the substrate must be properly prepared, i.e. see Substrate Requirements + local repair of unevenness, or repair of cracks and other defects. The plaster compound is applied to the substrate with a special roller at the required thickness, and the material is evenly spread over the desired area. The applied material is leveled with a stainless steel trowel and then allowed to dry completely. The second layer is applied in the same way. For perfect smoothing of any unevenness caused during application, the surface can be sanded after it has completely dried (by hand or machine) with fine sandpaper (60-220). When applying final surface finishes, follow the instructions for the specific material used.
AIRLESS application machines with a working pressure of about 50-230 bar, e.g.: Graco Mark V, VII, X; Graco T-MAX 506, 657, Storch Airless ST 1700, 1700+ and other machines recommended by the manufacturer for applying plaster compounds. We recommend a minimum nozzle size of 0.033“. Before applying with AIRLESS machines, the plaster compound must be mixed.
Plastering machines with air support – screed plastering machines.
