Description Eternal mat Revital color for renewing old coatings, RAL 7016 anthracite, 700 g

ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating material for indoor and outdoor use, prepared from a special crosslinkable dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It forms relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high weather resistance and excellent block resistance, even at higher temperatures. It is characterized by very good coverage, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion even to old synthetic and oil coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the conditions of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.

Area of use:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for indoor and outdoor painting of wood, fiberboard, particle board, cement-bonded particle board, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates coated with anti-corrosive paint, and some types of plastics (tough PVC, hard PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; it is not intended for coatings of PE, PP, PTFE). For plastics of unknown composition, a test coating must be applied beforehand. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, bodies of central heating, school boards, furniture, such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and renewal coatings.

Processing:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly clean, and degreased substrate free of non-adhering particles and residues of non-adhering coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at substrate and surrounding temperatures between 8 °C and 30 °C and relative humidity of max. 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15 wt. %. For application by high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at 160 bar with nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on VYZA vario equipment). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers according to the required thickness, with a minimum time interval of 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval must be extended. Extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.

Consumption (final coat):

  • wood, fiberboards 0.22 – 0.35 kg/m²
  • metals 0.20 – 0.25 kg/m²
  • concrete, plaster 0.30 – 0.35 kg/m²

Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be carefully cleaned of corrosive by-products, mechanical impurities, residues of flaking old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is coated with one to two layers of ETERNAL anti-corrosive acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals, with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anti-corrosive coating has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings for wood, fiberboard, and particle board:
The substrate must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots removed (e.g., by washing with thinner), and the surface saturated with FORTEKRYL impregnative agent with protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-staining fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, a penetrating agent FORTE penetral can also be used. After drying the primer, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Fiberboard and particle board are then coated with one layer of insulation paint ETERNAL In stop against any possible migration of color spots from the substrate to the topcoat. After the insulation coating has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings for concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates are freed from non-adhering coatings, mechanical impurities, and the greasy surface is thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is saturated with FORTE penetral preparation and after drying, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a 3-hour interval between coats. For saturating very absorbent substrates (plasters), ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio can also be used. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.

Coatings for cement-bonded particle boards:
Cement-bonded particle boards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be thoroughly freed from mechanical impurities, non-adhering old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate is thoroughly saturated with a special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. Penetration is best done with one coat until the substrate is saturated. Once the dried penetrating agent starts to form a glossy film on the surface, we terminate the penetration. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between coats.

Coatings for plastics:
The surface of plastics must be perfectly cleaned, freed from any residues of old non-adhering surface treatments, adhesives, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces are best sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological break of 4 hours between coats
