PATTEX Neutral Silicone is a high-quality single-component sealant, designed for a wide range of applications in construction and assembly work both indoors and outdoors. Due to its neutral chemical base, it does not release corrosive substances, making it suitable for applications on metals, glass, plastics, wood, and alkaline materials, without the need for a primer. It is an ideal solution for sealing expansion joints, window and door frames, glazing, façade joints, and technical constructions.
The sealant excels in excellent adhesion, even to more difficult substrates, and is fully compatible with water-based and solvent-based coatings. Once cured, it maintains long-lasting elasticity, excellent resistance to moisture, UV radiation, ozone, aging, and extreme weather conditions.
Due to its versatility, it is used not only in construction but also in the automotive, marine, electrical, and glass industries. Suitable for sealing critical materials, such as insulating double-glazing or joints under permanent load.
Main advantages of the product:
Before use:
Joints must be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease. Cut the top of the cartridge above the thread and screw the nozzle onto the cartridge. The tip of the nozzle must be cut according to the width of the joint.
Insert the cartridge into the applicator gun. Apply the silicone evenly into the joints.
Application:
Apply the silicone into the joint. Then smooth it out with a spatula or a finger dipped in soapy water.
We do not recommend painting over it – due to the elasticity of the sealant, the paint will not adhere.
Cleaning:
Remove any adhesive residues immediately with a damp cloth. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
