PATTEX Repair Express fast-drying epoxy adhesive, 48 g

Universal epoxy repair compound for bonding bathroom and kitchen accessories such as towel holders, handles, hooks, soap dishes, mixer holders; for reconstructing damaged hinges; for securing handles, door stops, phone covers; for repairing staircases, chairs, and all types of furniture; for sealing joints in plumbing and heating and for filling holes.

Preparation:
Cut the required piece of putty with a knife or scissors and remove the plastic film from the part of the putty you will apply. Cover the rest. Knead like modeling clay until the putty achieves a uniform white color. The putty heats up during hardening, which is a sign of an ongoing reaction.

Application of epoxy compound:

Bonding:

• The surfaces to be bonded must be dry, clean, and free of grease (if possible, roughen the surfaces).
• Cut the required piece of putty with a knife or scissors and remove the plastic film from the part of the putty you will apply. Cover the rest.
• Knead like modeling clay until the putty achieves a uniform white color. The putty heats up during hardening, which is a sign of an ongoing reaction.
• Apply the putty to one of the surfaces and join the bonded parts together.
• For larger pieces, use several pieces of putty.

Filling:

• Apply the putty into the joint or hole and smooth it out before it begins to harden.

Reconstruction:

• Knead the putty as needed and smooth out the surface before it begins to harden.
• The maximum time for kneading and applying is 4 minutes (at +23 °C).

Drying time of the epoxy compound:
The position of the bonded parts can be adjusted within 10–15 minutes after applying the adhesive (15 min.: tensile strength 10 kg/cm2, 23 °C, iron).

Hardening time:

• 24 h (at +23 °C) after application.
• After about 60 minutes (at +23 °C), the putty can be sanded, drilled, machined, and finished.
• At temperatures below 23 °C, the hardening time is longer.

Practical recommendations

• After using the putty, wash your hands with soapy water.
• Clean used tools and contaminated surfaces with alcohol or acetone before complete hardening.
• Hardened putty has very high adhesion and can therefore only be removed by mechanical means.
