Coverage:

1.5 – 2.5 kg/m2 (2 layers). The coverage of the Concrete Paint depends on the absorbency and preparation of the substrate, the thickness of the applied layers, the executed effect, and even on the contractor. Tools: roller, trowel.

Substrate preparation:

1. The substrate should be dry, free of dust, grease, and other contaminants. Residues of paint and plaster and other layers not bonded to the substrate must be removed. Apply a protective and primer layer with the deeply penetrating preparation Primacol Kontakt Grunt on the substrate.
2. You can apply the concrete paint on cement, lime, and lime-cement plasters and, after suitable treatment, on drywall. Before applying the paint, the surface should be protected with one layer of Kontakt Grunt to increase its adhesion.
3. Warning! Concrete paint does not tolerate gypsum well. In the case of gypsum plasters or any gypsum surfaces, for example, treated with gypsum spatulas, it is necessary to apply two layers of Kontakt Grunt to isolate the surface.

Application:

Before use, thoroughly mix the product. During application, mix the paint often. Work at a temperature of >5 °C, far from strong heat sources. Do not allow the paint to dry unevenly and too quickly.

Apply the paint with a roller on a surface of up to 1 m2 and then adjust with a trowel. This method allows working with sufficiently damp surfaces and with surfaces that shape easily. Check the degree of drying of the paint; if necessary, apply the paint in areas needing replenishment.

Suggestions for decorative effects:

Vibrated concrete effect (smooth, glossy surface): Apply the first layer with a roller and adjust with a trowel. Let the paint dry only slightly (the paint should still be damp but should not deform under the influence of the flat set trowel). Then apply the second layer with a roller and immediately smooth it with a trowel (flat work). During the drying period to achieve a smooth surface, wipe flat with the edge of the trowel. The intensity of wiping will determine the final glossy effect and the darkening of the surface. Do not wipe the surface for too long; it may lead to rolling or peeling of the paint. After 24 h, wipe the wall with a soft brush to stabilize the loose grains, so the effect is stable.

Concrete effect with indentations (matte surface): Apply the first layer with a roller and adjust with a stainless steel trowel according to the grain thickness. Let dry for 12-24 h depending on the temperature and humidity. Apply the second layer also using a roller. Immediately adjust irregularly with a trowel. The characteristic indentations and irregularities form during adjustment. This effect is required – it creates the characteristic look of raw concrete. If necessary, you can add paint in spots. After achieving the desired effect, let it dry for 24 h. Then wipe the area with a brush to stabilize the loose grains, so the effect is stable.

The concrete paint allows the creation of various decorative effects depending on the method of application and the inventiveness of the contractor. It can be colored using dyes from the Primacol Decorative series.

Securing effects:

The surface should be protected using products from the Primacol Decorative series. This will prevent grain loss and facilitate cleaning. Apply the decorative varnish gently and evenly in a thin layer with a brush or roller. If necessary, apply a second layer.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS:

For painting the entire area, it is recommended to use products from one production batch. In other cases, it is necessary to mix the contents of all packages in one container. The color shown on the packaging may differ from the actual color due to printing possibilities and cannot be a reason for complaint. To accurately find out the color, please ask the seller for a sample with actual coatings.

Store at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C, in a tightly closed container, and do not expose to sunlight. Apply the next layer after 24 hours.

IN CASE OF EYE CONTACT: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. IN CASE OF SKIN CONTACT: Wash with plenty of water and soap. Dispose of contents/container by handing it over to a hazardous waste collection point or as hazardous waste to an authorized person for waste disposal. Hazardous substances: calcium hydroxide (slaked lime).
