Yield:

1.5 – 2.5 kg/m2 (2 layers). The yield of concrete paint depends on the absorbency and preparation of the substrate, the thickness of the applied layers, the effect achieved, and even the contractor. Tools: roller, trowel.

Substrate preparation:

1. The substrate should be dry, free of dust, grease, and other impurities. Residues of paint and plaster and other layers not bonded to the substrate must be removed. Apply a protective and primer layer with the deeply penetrating product Primacol Kontakt Grunt on the substrate.
2. You can apply concrete paint on cement, lime, and lime-cement plasters, and after proper treatment on drywall. Before applying the paint, the surface should be protected with one layer of Kontakt Grunt to increase its adhesion.
3. Warning! Concrete paint does not adhere well to gypsum. In the case of gypsum plasters or any gypsum surfaces, for example treated with gypsum trowels, it is necessary to apply two layers of Kontakt Grunt to isolate the surface.

Application:

Before use, thoroughly mix the product. During application, mix the paint frequently. Work should be done at temperatures >5 °C, away from strong heat sources. Do not allow the paint to dry unevenly and too quickly.

Apply the paint using a roller to a surface of 1 m2 and then smooth with a trowel. This method allows working with sufficiently moist surfaces and with easily moldable surfaces. Check the degree of drying of the paint; if necessary, apply more paint in spots where additional coverage is needed.

Suggestions for decorative effects:

Effect of vibrated concrete (smooth, glossy surface): Apply the first layer with a roller and smooth with a trowel. Let the paint dry only slightly (the paint should still be damp, but it should not deform under the influence of the trowel set flat). Then apply the second layer using a roller and immediately smooth with a trowel (working flat). During the drying time, wipe the surface with the flat edge of the trowel to achieve a smooth surface. The intensity of wiping will determine the final glossy effect and the darkening of the surface. Do not wipe the surface too long, as it may lead to rolling or peeling of the paint. After 24 hours, wipe the wall with a soft brush to secure the loose grains, so that the effect is stable.

Effect of concrete with depressions (matte surface): Apply the first layer with a roller and smooth with a stainless steel trowel according to the grain thickness. Allow to dry for 12-24 hours depending on temperature and humidity. Apply the second layer also using a roller. Immediately make irregular adjustments with the trowel. Characteristic depressions and irregularities form during the adjustment. This effect is required – it creates the characteristic appearance of raw concrete. If necessary, you can add paint in spots. After achieving the desired effect, let it dry for 24 hours. Then wipe the area with a brush to secure the loose grains so that the effect is stable.

Concrete paint allows for various decorative effects depending on the application method and the contractor's ingenuity. It can be colored with dyes from the Primacol Decorative series.

Securing effects:

The surface should be protected using products from the Primacol Decorative series. This will prevent grain loss and ease cleaning. Apply decorative varnish gently and evenly in a thin layer using a brush or roller. If necessary, apply a second layer.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS:

We recommend using products from the same manufacturing batch for coating the entire area. Otherwise, it is necessary to mix the contents of all packages in one container. The color shown on the packaging may differ from the actual color depending on printing capabilities and cannot be a reason for complaint. For exact color matching, request a sample with the actual coatings from the seller.

Store at temperatures from 5 to 25 °C, in a tightly closed container, and do not expose to sunlight. Apply the next layer after 24 hours.

IN CASE OF EYE CONTACT: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. IN CASE OF SKIN CONTACT: Wash with plenty of water and soap. Dispose of contents/container at a hazardous waste collection point or hand over as hazardous waste to an authorized waste disposal company. Hazardous substances: calcium hydroxide (slaked lime).
