BAKRYLEX PRIMER is a water-based sanding primer for wood for outdoor and indoor use. Bakrylex wood paint is intended for new and renovation primer coatings of wood such as window frames, wooden door frames and leaves, wooden furniture or cladding, ceilings, and other carpentry products.
The paint fills pores, levels unevenness in the substrate, and overall increases adhesion between the substrate and the topcoat.
The substrate for the wood primer must be dry, free of dirt, loose layers of older coatings, grease, and resin. When applying the wood paint outdoors, it is recommended to first treat the wood with the protective agent LAZUROL AQUA NAPOUŠTĚDLO. After the protective coating dries, the substrate should be sanded with sandpaper P180–220 and cleaned of dust.
The wood primer is applied with a brush, roller, or pneumatic spraying in 1–2 coats after dilution (only if necessary, max. 5% water) and thorough mixing. The interval between individual coats must be at least 4 hours. After applying the last coat, the primer can be sanded, but not less than 6 hours after the application of the last coat using sandpaper P 240–320. Then, the topcoat can be applied (e.g., BAKRYLEX EMAIL UNIVERZÁL) in 1–2 coats. The time interval between individual topcoat layers must be at least 4 hours. The minimum temperature during application and drying of the coating is 10 °C, at least 3 ˚C above the dew point, and air humidity up to 70%.
