
The paint is specially manufactured to protect steel and cast iron surfaces exposed to cyclical thermal stress. It is used for protective coatings of fireplaces, flue pipes, steam pipes, engines, heat exchangers, solar collectors...
The paint is intended for the final finishing of surfaces of steel and cast iron items and structures subjected to single or cyclical thermal stress. The paint is formulated based on advanced silicone resin using modern inorganic spinel pigments that do not degrade even at temperatures around 700 °C.
The paint can be used to treat metal parts of fireplaces, stoves, flue pipes, steam pipes, engines, heat exchangers, solar collectors. The paint is intended for coatings or spraying on structures that are loaded with temperatures up to 700 °C for short periods, and up to 550 °C for long periods.
Application procedure:
1,) The paint is applied with a brush, roller, spraying, or dipping. It is preferable to paint the first layer. Maintain a time interval of at least 4 hours between individual layers under normal conditions.
2.) It is optimal to let each layer dry and cure at a temperature of 230 °C for 30 minutes.
3.) The coating system does not need to be cured, but it is softer and does not resist the effects of organic solvents. When subsequently curing the entire coating system, be careful with the gradual increase in temperature!!! The most suitable preparation for steel and cast iron substrates is blasting.
Substrate:
Remove rust, old degraded coatings, and degrease the substrate! Optimal degreasing of the substrate… e.g. two coats with a special preparation IZOKOR. The actual coating system typically consists of 2 coats of CORSIL + at least 2 coats of BISIL Thermo. For substrate preparation and application of the coating system, it is recommended to adhere to the technical standards ČSN EN ISO 12944 1-8 and accompanying regulations ČSN ISO 8501 1-2, 8502 2-6, ...).
