PATTEX Neutral Silicone is a high-quality single-component sealant designed for a wide range of applications in construction and assembly work both indoors and outdoors. Due to its neutral chemical base, it does not release corrosive substances, making it suitable for applications on metals, glass, plastics, wood, and alkaline materials without the need for a primer. It is the ideal solution for sealing expansion joints, window and door frames, glazing, façade joints, and technical constructions.
The sealant features excellent adhesion, even to difficult substrates, and is fully compatible with both water-based and solvent-based coatings. Once cured, it retains long-lasting elasticity and excellent resistance to moisture, UV radiation, ozone, aging, and extreme weather conditions.
Due to its versatility, it is used not only in construction but also in the automotive, marine, electrical, and glass industries. It is suitable for sealing critical materials such as insulating double-glazing or joints under permanent load.
Main advantages of the product:
Before use:
Joints must be clean, dry, and free of dust and grease. Cut off the top of the cartridge above the thread and screw the nozzle onto the cartridge. The tip of the nozzle must be cut according to the width of the joint.
Insert the cartridge into the applicator gun. Apply the silicone evenly into the joints.
Application:
Apply the silicone into the joint. Then smooth it using a spatula or a finger moistened with soapy water.
We do not recommend painting over it – due to the elasticity of the sealant, it will not hold.
Cleaning:
Remove adhesive residues immediately with a damp cloth. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
