Soudal wood filler is suitable for leveling wooden, chipboard, cement-bonded chipboard and other absorbent substrates, local repairs and filling of holes, cracks, and irregularities, leveling joint gaps in molding and board joints, leveling surfaces for paint coatings applied with enamel. The wood filler adheres very well to wood and other absorbent materials, after curing it is volume stable and easily sandable. For exterior applications, a coating is required. Well workable paste consistency. Dilutable and cleanable with water. Leveling wooden surfaces, local repairs and filling scratches, holes and cracks, joints in wooden strips and panels, surface leveling of wooden areas before coating.
Color variants:
White, birch, teak, pine, oak, cherry, mahogany, spruce, beech.
Coverage:
Full-area application in one layer 0.2 - 0.4 m²/100g.
Curing speed:
Depending on the layer thickness min. 2 hours. Thickness 0.4 mm approx. 6 hours, thickness 0.7 mm time 7 hours, thickness 1.5 mm time 9 hours, thickness 2 mm time 10 hours (at 20 °C, 65% relative humidity).
Surfaces:
Suitable surfaces: all common wooden surfaces and substrates of composite and laminated boards based on wood. Surface condition: clean, free of grease and dust. Preparation: non-adhering surfaces must be stabilized, e.g. with acrylic primer, remove loose particles, no further preparation is required.
Working procedure:
Application: For application, a metal spatula or a large smooth trowel is most commonly used. Fill holes and cracks to ensure no air bubbles are present. Smooth the surface with a trowel and sand it flat after curing. Local repairs are filled with a slight overlap above the height of the surrounding surface and sanded flat after curing. Repaired surfaces are usually painted with a covering enamel or a translucent varnish.
