Soudal universal silicone, black, 280 ml

Universal silicone sealant with acetate system is suitable for versatile sealing of construction and structural joints in both interiors and outdoor environments, including sanitary areas. It can be applied to most common substrates except plastics. It is a permanently elastic and color-stable sealant with high resistance to UV radiation and long-lasting durability.

Substrates:

Suitable substrates: all usual materials except PVC, PE, PP, PTFE, and bitumen-based materials. Surface condition: clean, dry, free of dust and grease. Preparation: penetrate porous materials with Primer 150, non-porous materials do not need treatment. We always recommend performing a preliminary compatibility test.

Joint size:

The minimum width is 5 mm, maximum width 30 mm, and minimum depth 5 mm. Recommended ratio: depth of the joint = ½ width of the joint. To define the depth of the joint and prevent adhesion of the sealant to its bottom, always apply a non-adhesive material, e.g. PE sealing cord.

Working procedure:

Application: with a caulking gun (manual or pneumatic). Working temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C. Cleaning: before curing with White Spirit (paint thinner) or acetone, after curing mechanically and with Soudal Silicone Remover. Finishing: before skin formation with a caulking tool and Soudal smoothing agent for sealants or soapy water. Repairs: Universal silicone.

Notes:

Due to its acetate composition, the sealant may react with some metals (such as copper or lead). Do not use it for joints in natural stone, such as marble, etc. For such applications, Silirub MA is intended. Prevent contact of this sealant with primary sealant of insulated double-glazing and PVB film of safety glass.
