Soudal universal silicone, clear, 280 ml

Acetate universal silicone sealant universally applicable for construction and structural joints in interiors and exteriors, sanitary applications etc. It can be used on most substrates except for plastics. Permanently flexible, color-stable sealant with long-lasting service life and resistance to UV radiation.

Substrates:

Suitable surfaces: all common surfaces except PVC, PE, PP, PTFE, and bitumen substrates. Surface condition: clean, dry, free of dust and grease. Preparation: penetrate porous materials with Primer 150, non-porous materials do not need treatment. It is always recommended to carry out a preliminary compatibility test.

Joint size:

Minimum width: 5 mm. Maximum width: 30 mm. Minimum depth: 5 mm. Recommendation: depth of the joint = ½ width of the joint. To define the depth of the joint and prevent the sealant from adhering to its bottom, always use a non-adhesive material, e.g., PE sealing cord.

Working procedure:

Application: using a caulking gun (manual or pneumatic). Working temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C. Cleaning: before curing with White Spirit (paint thinner) or acetone, after curing mechanically and with Soudal Silicone Remover. Adjustments: before skin formation with Caulker Tool and Soudal Surface Smoother or soapy water. Repairs: Universal silicone.

Notes:

Due to its acetate nature, it may react with certain metals (copper, lead). Do not use this sealant for sealing natural stones such as marble etc. For these applications, use Silirub MA. Avoid contact of this sealant and primary glazing sealant for insulating glass units or PVB film of safety glass.
