Soudal universal silicone, clear, 280 ml

Acetate universal silicone sealant offers universal use for construction and building joints in both interior and exterior applications, for sanitary applications and similar uses. It can be used on most surfaces except for plastics. It is characterized by permanent flexibility, color stability, long durability, and resistance to UV radiation.

Substrates:

Suitable substrates: all common surfaces except for PVC, PE, PP, PTFE, and bituminous substrates. Surface condition: clean, dry, free of dust and grease. Preparation: treat porous materials with Primer 150, non-porous materials do not need treatment. It is always recommended to carry out a preliminary compatibility test.

Joint size:

Minimum width: 5 mm. Maximum width: 30 mm. Minimum depth: 5 mm. Recommendation: joint depth = ½ width of the joint. To define joint depth and prevent adhesion of the sealant to its bottom, always use a non-stick material, e.g., PE sealing cord.

Working procedure:

Application: with a caulking gun (manual or pneumatic). Working temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C. Cleaning: before curing White Spirit (paint thinner) or acetone, after curing mechanically and Soudal Silicone Remover. Finishing: before skin formation use a caulking spatula and Soudal surface smoother for sealants or soapy water. Repairs: Universal silicone.

Notes:

Due to its acetate nature, it may react with some metals (copper, lead). Do not use this sealant on natural stones such as marble, etc. For these applications, use Silirub MA. Avoid contact of this sealant with primary glazing sealants of insulating double-glazing or PVB films of safety glass.
